This morning I sent out two poems for consideration to one journal, by lunchtime, both were accepted!!!!
That is a poet's dream!!!! 

52/250 Flash Fiction

Another of my flash fiction stories is featured at 52/250, "the matter"........ many thanks once again to John, Michelle, and Walt!!!!  Honored to be there again, with such fine writers!!!!!

PATASOLA PRESS - EAST COAST FEMALE POETS & WRITERS: ANTHOLOGY SUBMISSIONS OPEN !!!!!

I wanted to create a project that showcases the work of talented female writers and poets bound by some criteria — location. And because Patasola Press is located in Brooklyn, this lends itself to the opportunity of doing readings in the future together. I imagine a troupe of talented females painting the city in words. This print anthology will come out Summer 2011, be available for purchase online and in some indie bookstores and will makes its rounds at events and conferences. Nicely packaged in soft-back, perfect-bound body, my goal is to create a smart, widely available, beautiful book of poetry and flash fiction. Short stories (under the 300 word mark) and poetry are welcome. If you've got something longer, though, send it our way for consideration. I'll make every effort to get back to you ASAP (within a week). The deadline is March 20. You can submit here. Scroll down, submit using the "Patasola Press: East Coast Female Poets/Writers" option. 

 I ask also that you spread the word to all your East Coast area female poet and writer friends, blog about this Patasola Press anthology, and let people know that this anthology is open for submissions. I will spread the word on your projects too!

Patasola Press is a micropress dedicated to publishing poetry, short story collections, novellas and chapbooks. One of our focuses is to support talented, unique women in the literary arts. While this first anthology is kicking off in the East, we'll do subsequent collections in the future. Patasola Press also publishes Caper Literary Journal, our online magazine. Our first published title will be a bang-up collection of work by Rae Bryant, whose writing has been called "smart and sexy and post-feminist and dangerous and akin to doing the tango with a succubus," (Richard Peabody, Editor — Gargoyle Magazine). Other titles are in the works.
